Writer's Workshop: If you take a peek in our classrooms this new year, you will find very busy writers who are using their creative minds to produce well written explanatory expository essays.

During writer's workshop, Students will....... 

Consume Explanatory Expository Essays/Identify the form and function of explanatory expository essays.Critique essays by  Comparing the form and function of expository essays to the form and function of personal narrative essays.  Produce own explanatory expository essays during writer's workshop.  

REVISING:  revise their essays by using RADAR revision tools. (check out example of radar attached to our blog) :)

EDITING: writing using complete sentences and well written compound sentences with correct subject verb agreement. Using correct punctuation and correct capitalization.

Reader's Workshop: 

Students will use a flexible range of meta cognitive reading skills in both assigned and independent reading to understand and be able to........
